Morning Worship

Occuring
Every Sunday at for 1 hour, 15 mins
Venue
St. Peter's Church, Yaxley
Address
Church Street Yaxley Peterborough, PE7 3LH, United Kingdom

Come and join us on Sundays mornings at 11.00am.

You’ll be greeted with a warm welcome and central heating, a modern sound and video system, and a contemporary style that includes music led by a band, prayers for our world today, and teaching that applies the Bible to our everyday lives here and now.

At 11.00am we have our service of morning worship. Every month we set aside Sundays for different purposes, all of which help us to see God in a different way and help keep our minds open to a God that we cannot put in a box. Here’s what we normally do:

1st Sunday – All age service to cater for everyone, including children and families
2nd Sunday – Holy Communion with groups for children and young people
3rd Sunday – Holy Communion
4th Sunday – Open the Bible with groups for children and young people
If there’s ever a fifth Sunday, we do whatever God asks of us in that particular week!

Our morning services are followed by a time of fellowship with refreshments. Please do stay around, we'd love to get to know you.

Everyone is welcome.

From Sunday 20th November, our service times will be changing to accommodate the rise in gas and electricity costs.

Safeguarding

"Our parish of St Peter's, Yaxley is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Ely’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO [via Rev Sarah Hare - Vicar on 01733 240996, 07498 230858 or at [email protected]] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [https://www.elydiocese.org/safeguarding.php]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."

Safe Spaces: a service for victims and survivors of church-related abuse

Safe Spaces is a free and independent support service for anyone who has experienced abuse in relation to the Church of England, the Church in Wales, or the Catholic Church of England and Wales. This could be abuse by someone who holds any role in the church or is linked to participating in a church-led activity or group.

If you have been affected, however long ago, Safe Spaces can provide you with support. You do not have need to have told the police or the church authorities, and you do not have to still be involved with the church. Your information will not be shared without your consent, unless you or someone else is in immediate danger. Safe Spaces can provide a range of help, including advocating with authorities and other agencies, giving emotional support, providing information (including information on church and police procedures), understanding your needs and working together on individual support plans.
