St Mary the Virgin, Newington is one of the six churches which together make up 'The Six' benefice, a group of Anglican parishes in North Kent. The ancient church building is located in the centre of the village. All our Sunday Services take place at 10.00am, and follow the pattern below:
1st Sunday: Morning Worship
2nd Sunday: Communion (Sung/Traditional)
3rd Sunday: 'Stepping Stones' (informal cafe-style service for all ages)
4th Sunday: Communion
Every third Thursday morning from 9.30am we have the Cornerstone Cafe, which takes place in the church. This is an informal meeting place, as an opportunity to meet friends and make new ones whilst enjoying home-made refreshments. The local Community Warden is on hand to provide advice on any issues of concern. We welcome you to join in our worship and to become a part of our worshipping community.
